ENOCH ADEJARE ADEBOYEEnoch Adeboye is a renowned Nigerian pastor and mathematician who is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He is a highly respected figure in Nigeria and around the world, and he has been awarded numerous honours, including honorary doctorate degrees from the University of Lagos and the University of Nigeria.

Adeboye was born in 1942 in Ifewara, Nigeria. He grew up in a Christian home and was educated at Ilesha Grammar School and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 1967, a Master of Science degree in Hydrodynamics in 1969, and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in 1975.

In 1973, Adeboye received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined the RCCG. He was ordained a pastor in 1977 and became the General Overseer of the church in 1981. Under his leadership, the RCCG has grown from a small church with a few hundred members to a global movement with over 12,000 churches in over 120 countries.
